Microelectronics Group

μDIE is the name of microelectronics workgroup in the Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica, in the Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

Our main areas of research are analog and mixed digital-analog integrated circuit design for implantable medical devices among others, MOS transistor modeling and low noise designs.

In μDIE we have the experience and a basic tool set for the design and characterization of application-specific integrated circuits or ASICs (see chips for a brief description)

μDIE jointly organized with GME-IIE the 5th Argentine School of Micro-Nanoelectronics, Technology and Applications (EAMTA 2010) and its associated Conference (CAMTA-CUMTA 2010) which took place from October 1 - 9, 2010 in Montevideo, Uruguay. I has also organized the 6th IEEE Latin American Symposium on Circuits and Systems (LASCAS) and the XXI Iberchip Workshop which took place from February 24-27, 2015 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Projects of embedded systems using commercial devices have also been developed, including research in applications for the agro-industry.
